Staying at home is hard, especially when it feels indefinite, when you have a job to hold down, and when you are worried about the health of your loved ones and the state of your finances.
Our children know it too: they feel the loss of routine, the separation from friends, the cabin fever. They probably also pick up on the stress and fear around us, and don’t fully know what to do or how to respond, especially when it feels like we’re all on top of each other in our homes.
Thinking about what we appreciate, how we are coming together, and what we love can remind us that we will get through this, together.
In that spirit, we asked Vermont artist Deborah Holmes to sketch a few images for your children to color and use to reflect on what they value, and for who or what they are thankful in these times.
