NORWICH, VERMONT – Public health policy has been front and center in the gubernatorial race this year. Over the last several months, Rebecca Holcombe, Democratic candidate for Governor, has held David Zuckerman accountable for his record on the science of vaccines. She highlighted a 2015 incident that occured when she was serving as Secretary of Education, when then-Senator Zuckerman proposed an amendment to H.98, an amendment that would have preserved a loophole allowing parents to opt their children out of receiving long-trusted vaccines before enrolling them in school. Zuckerman’s history on this issue is well-documented – most recently on Monday August 3rd, by Paul Heintz of Seven Days, and yesterday, Wednesday August 5th, by WCAX News Anchor, Céline McArthur.
Vermont voters will decide for themselves on this issue, based on David’s own words.
